The second edition of the Paulite Cup Under-14 Inter-School Football Tournament will kick off on July 16, bringing together young football talent from schools across Belagavi and surrounding areas.
The tournament is jointly organised by Paulites of Belgaum Worldwide (PBW) and St. Paul’s High School, Belagavi, with the aim of promoting grassroots football and encouraging young players to pursue the sport.
The inaugural Under-14 tournament held in July 2025 received an overwhelming response, attracting large crowds and appreciation from parents, coaches and participating schools. Building on its success, the second edition will feature participation from more than 24 schools.
The 10-day tournament will witness competitive matches showcasing the skills, teamwork and sporting spirit of budding footballers. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by school representatives, PBW members, coaches, parents and students.
More than just a competition, the Paulite Cup aims to promote values of discipline, friendship and fair play among young athletes. Winners, runners-up and outstanding performers will be honoured with trophies, medals and certificates.
Individual awards will include categories such as Best Goalkeeper and Most Promising Talent, along with new categories introduced this year. The Best Player of the Tournament will also receive a bicycle.
The organisers have invited football enthusiasts and sports lovers in Belagavi to come forward and support the young players during the tournament.
