Nipani: A family’s deepest moment of sorrow has become a source of hope for five others.
Nikhil Nitin Bongale, 34, originally from Narvekar Galli in Belagavi, passed away after suffering severe injuries in a road accident near Yamgarni on Sunday night.
Nikhil was riding his two-wheeler to meet a friend when the vehicle skidded on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway. He was rushed to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Nipani and later shifted to a private hospital in Kolhapur for advanced treatment. Despite the efforts of doctors, he succumbed to his injuries.
In the midst of their devastating loss, the Bongale family made a courageous decision to donate Nikhil’s organs.
His organ donation has given five needy patients a new chance at life.
Nikhil had been living in Nipani for several years and worked in the marketing sector of a private company. He was remembered by his family and friends as a caring, sociable and intelligent person who was always there for those close to him.
While Nikhil’s sudden passing has left his family and friends heartbroken, their decision to donate his organs has transformed their loss into hope for five other families.
