The winter session of the Karnataka Legislature will be held at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi from November 30 to December 11, covering a total of 10 working days; earlier, the date was said to be Dec 7.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Thursday.
The session was initially scheduled to commence on December 7. However, the government decided to advance the dates to November 30, reportedly in view of the expected announcement of Gram Panchayat elections.

As in previous years, Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi will host the Legislature session, bringing the state government, legislators and officials to the city for the winter sitting.
