A decision has been taken to convene a meeting of leaders and officials of the Halumatha community for the installation of a statue of Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna at Peeranavadi, District incharge minister Ramesh Jarakiholi said.
He held a preliminary meeting with senior officials, including district officials, on Wednesday evening.
The Minister received comprehensive information from the authorities about the demand for the installation of a statue of Rayanna at Peranavadi.
After a thorough discussion with the leaders of the society, the appropriate decision will be taken.
Senior officials of the Revenue and Police Department, including DC MG Hiremath, Police Commissioner T. Thyagarajan, were also present.
