The 11th edition of the joint military exercise between India and Sri Lanka, ‘Mitra Shakti 2025’, will be conducted at the Foreign Training Node in Belagavi from November 10 to 23, according to a statement by the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI), Indian Army.
The primary objective of the exercise is to enhance operational synergy between the Indian and Sri Lankan armies in conducting joint operations in urban and semi-urban environments.
According to ADGPI, this collaborative exercise highlights the shared commitment of both nations to regional peace and security, while also aiming to strengthen defence cooperation and further solidify the strategic partnership between India and Sri Lanka.

Mitra Shakti is held annually, hosted alternately by the two countries.
The 10th edition took place last year at the Army Training School in Maduru Oya, Sri Lanka.
