Star Air Bookings for Jaipur, Ahmedabad Not Visible After Jan 15: Is Belagavi Set to Lose More Air Links?

Screenshots from the official booking portal of Star Air show that flight bookings from Belagavi (IXG) to Jaipur and Ahmedabad are not available beyond January 15, 2026. On selecting dates from January 15 onwards, the portal repeatedly displays the message: โ€œNo flights were found for the chosen date.โ€

This has triggered serious concern among frequent flyers and the business community, especially as there has been no official communication so far from the airline regarding suspension or rescheduling of these routes.

Pattern Raises Alarm

What makes the situation worrying is the recent precedent. Star Air formally discontinued the Belagaviโ€“Mumbai route from December 25, a decision that significantly impacted connectivity to Indiaโ€™s financial capital. With Jaipur and Ahmedabad now showing no bookable inventory beyond mid-January, apprehensions are growing that Belagavi may be on the verge of losing two more important regional connections.

At present, the booking system indicates:

  • Belagaviโ€“Ahmedabad: No flights visible from January 15, 2026
  • Belagaviโ€“Jaipur: No flights visible from January 15, 2026

While airlines sometimes block inventory due to operational reviews, aircraft deployment changes, or seasonal scheduling, prolonged unavailability without clarification often precedes route rationalisation.

Shrinking Options for Belagavi Flyers

If these routes are indeed withdrawn, Belagaviโ€™s commercial air services would be left with just IndiGo, operating flights to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi.

Such a scenario would:

  • Reduce competitive fares
  • Limit onward connectivity options
  • Force travellers to depend on road or rail to reach nearby airports like Hubballi, Goa, or Bengaluru

This is particularly concerning for a city that serves as an educational, medical, defence, and emerging business hub for North Karnataka and parts of Maharashtra and Goa.

City Once Again in Wait-and-Watch Mode

Belagavi has repeatedly seen air routes launched with promise, only to be curtailed quietly. Each time, the burden falls on citizens, professionals, patients, students, and entrepreneurs who rely on dependable air connectivity.

Unless clarity is provided urgentlyโ€”either confirming continuation or explaining the temporary nature of the booking blockโ€”the uncertainty itself becomes damaging.

For now, the screenshots speak louder than assurances. If the situation remains unchanged, Belagavi could soon find itself with fewer air links than ever before, once again raising the question: Who is really speaking up for the cityโ€™s connectivity?

AllAboutBelgaum will continue to track this development and update readers as soon as an official response is available.
