Deputy commissioner  Mohammad Roshan has clarified that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel in the district.
Addressing a press conference at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, he stated that the rush at fuel stations is purely due to rumours circulating about a shortage. He assured that adequate fuel stocks are available and that supply to petrol pumps is continuing without interruption.
He appealed to citizens not to panic or indulge in unnecessary stockpiling, and urged everyone to ignore rumours and cooperate with the administration.

Ban on sale in bottles:
The administration has strictly prohibited the sale of petrol in bottles or containers at fuel stations. The District Magistrate warned that strict action, including cancellation of licences, will be taken against any petrol pump violating this rule.
Action against rumours:
Authorities have also warned of strict legal action against those spreading fake news about fuel shortages. Officials said misinformation is leading to unnecessary crowds at petrol pumps and creating avoidable panic among the public.
