The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has ordered no increase in electricity tariffs for 2026–27 for Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited.
Instead, consumers will receive a refund of 10 paise per unit, as the utility recorded a revenue surplus. The excess collected will be adjusted in future bills.
HESCOM will calculate refunds for each active consumer based on their FY 2024–25 consumption (excluding DERS), and return the amount during FY 2026–27 in equal monthly instalments under “FY25 True-up Charges.”
