Bittoo: Bapu.

Bapu: Yes Bittoo.

Bittoo: The official room of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha was subjected to special pooja by a host of priests seeking protection from all obstructions and disruptions for the annual winter session of the state legislature, even as farmers and other sections of working men and women are agitating for relief and redressal for their long pending grievances right in front of the secretariat building Bapu?

Bapu: That’s what I also learned from media reports Bittoo.

Bittoo: So the agitators will silently return to their home and the Opposition benches will remain calm Bapu?

Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.

Bittoo: But, why don’t the government take measures to protect farmers and the workers from exploitation so that there will be no need to perform such poojas to CM’s room, which the rationalists view as amounting to superstition Bapu?

Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.

This is a citizen-centric new column, wherein the author(Bitto) is an ordinary, politically unaffiliated common man of the city who in his/her inimitable approach takes up various issues with the Bapu’s soul! Apparently, the interaction between them portrays ironies of sorts encountered by the common man and others in the city in a lighter vein. The author’s name will not be disclosed to the readers as he/she represents the common man of the society. This column aims at creating awareness and sensitising cross sections of our city on various issues of public concern only but in a lighter vein without holding any contempt against any institution or individual.
