Bittoo: Bapu.

Bapu: Yes Bittoo.

Ever since the JD(S)-Congress coalition government came to power, making BJP to sit in Opposition benches, allegations of ‘operation kamal’ by BJP to buy MLAs belonging to the ruling parties are being levelled by top leaders of both the JD(S) and Congress Bapu?

Bapu: Yes, the media is showcasing these charges and counter charges prominently.

Bittoo: And the first time MLA from Belagavi Rural and State Mahila Congress president Laxmi R. Hebbalkar has reportedly claimed of some BJP leaders offering a huge Rs.30 crore to change sides Bapu?

Bapu: That is what media reports suggest Bittoo.

Bittoo: Do you think BJP will repeat the success of ‘operation kamal’ this time too Bapu?

Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.

Bittoo: Don’t you think machinations like ‘operation kamal’ allegedly involving crores of black money, just to grab political power by political parties has only pushed ‘loyalty inflation’ to a new high Bapu?

Bapu: Hummmmm!

Bittoo: So, with parliament elections due to be held early next year and in the event of a a hung Lok Sabha, the prices will escalate further leading to a higher ‘loyalty inflation’ Bapu?

Bapu: I don’t know Bittoo.

Apparently, the interaction between them portrays ironies of sorts encountered by the common man and others in the city in a lighter vein. The author’s name will not be disclosed to the readers as he/she represents the common man of the society.
