Habbanhatti is small village on the banks of the river Malaprabha, which houses the Swaymbhu Maruti Temple on the banks of the river. About 31 kms from Belgaum on the Jamboti Road, one can reach this place in a hours time and is a very good place for a short picnic.
The water in the river bed is very minimal except in the months of June to August and it is also very safe for the kids to play of course under the guidance of the elders.
This is basically is place of pilgrimage with the temple being the sole attraction other than the water in the river bed next to it.
There is also the Shri Poonamnath Maharaj math there next to the Temple and yes slides, Swings for kids. Also there is a large open space with trees surrounding it, good to play games in groups when on picnic.
How to reach Habbanhatti:
Take the Chorla road After Udyambag
Go Upto Jamboti and then 2.3 Kms on Right side from SH 140 is Habbanhatti.
From the main Chorla road the Temple is about 3.8 kms inside on the single road.
