Chronicles of Urban Nomads lays on a repertoire which is classic yet contemporary. The magnetism is imperceptible yet absolute. The telling is racy, in easy-going syntax, staging life-size protagonists in action and emotive roles. Yet it doesn’t fault on the human face of Life.

The story authored by Chess Champion and AAB’s Belgaumite of the year 2012 Niranjan Navalgund is also featiured in the book “Chronicles of Urban Nomad”

Chronicles of Urban Nomads

Storytelling has been around since Man, first articulated his thoughts in spoken words. Whether it is an excited infant gesticulating how she found her lost ball or a septuagenarian holding forth exaggerated tales of how, as a teen, he had saved his girl from rowdies, everybody spins a yarn sometime in their lives.

And there are those who see stories everywhere; in a man sleeping on a beach; a girl waiting at a bus stop; a family quarrel; a dog dragging a leash, running across a busy street! Amongst even that throng are a precious few who suffer from an itch. And intolerably! An itch to pen down the stories they envision. Chronicles of Urban Nomads is a side effect of that itch! It is an exuberant exhibition of human foibles through the eyes of several chroniclers.

The authors come from diverse backgrounds and include a chess champion, a debutant director from Kannada movies, a freelance editor, an entrepreneur, a researcher and writer in Public International Law, Arbitration and Human Rights and a senior member of the Toastmasters International community. Two authors are based in Kolkata, three are based in Delhi, six in Chennai, two in Bangalore, one each in Jaipur, Lucknow, Mangalore, Hyderabad, Belgaum and Dubai.
