A group advocates today gave a memorandum to the DC asking him to construct a ring road 10 kms away from the city to avoid traffic problems in the city, the memorandum said.
The Government has taking a decision to build a Ring road on the outskirts of the Belagavi.
The memorandum further states that the land surrounding the city is purely fertile agricultural land and farmers are taking multiple crops from the said land and the said land is not fit for construction of road.
About 10 kms away from the city there is barren Land notified as D Class which will be ideal for road construction.
By constructing the ring road away from the city HTV traffic will be totally diverted and hence would traffic jams in the city the memorandum further said.
