Assistant Executive Engineer, Vinayak Makanur at Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board, Visvesvaraya Nagar office was caught red-handed by the ACB while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 1 Lakh from a contractor.
The bribe was allegedly asked for the clearance of the bills of the contractor who works with the KUWS.
Santosh Khirai a Class 2 Contractor, Nehru nagar, Belagavi was asked to pay up 2.5 lakhs out of which 50,000 were already paid up and today he was to pay 1 lakh.
These kind of people who accept bribe should be released immediately from their present position and bar them from seeking job elsewhere for rest of their lives, beggars have decency but these people have neither decency nor shame.
