After a non-operational airport for about 11 days, Belagavi IXG today saw the Alliance Air flight land from Bengaluru this afternoon. Even though this is only thrice a week after Spicejet stopped all its flights from IXG and shifted them to HBX.
New operators are interested from Belagavi but it will take time and nothing immediate is expected to happen. As of now if you are traveling to Bengaluru then u have the option on three days to fly out from here.

Alliance Air is a subsidiary of Air India and has been in the market since 1996. They operate to almost 50 destinations within India with a fleet of 14 ATR-72 (70 seater) and 2 ATR-42 (48 seater) Aircraft. Alliance Air has approximately 102 flight departures daily.

I EXPRESS DISSATISFACTION FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS.
1.A PROPELLED AIRCRAFT IS BEING SENT TO BELGAUM,WHERE THE AIRPORT TO SUIT
LANDING OF AIRBUS A32 & B737 -800 TYPE OF JET AIRKRAFT.
2.THERE ARE NO FLIGHTS TO MUMBAI INSPITE OF HAVING A VERY GOOD LOAD FACTOR.
3.THE FREQUENCY OF FLIGHTS TO BANGALORE IS THRICE A WEEK.
AS A PROUD BELGAUMITE I EXPRESS UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT.THE SERVICE INTRODUCED
IS ONLY TO KEEP THE MOUTH OF BELGAUMITES SHUT. IT IS NOT KNOWN WHY BELGAUM
AIRPORT IS NOT INCLUDED IN UDAN SCHME.
Some good news but if they could operate daily it is better. Again save IXG team & all other Belgaumites need to put pressure on the concerned authorities. Hope for the good.
