The wholesale vegetable market has been sealed to prevent the spread of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and the trading has been moved to vacant space and space allocated for Sunday markets, to accommodate all authorized traders, secretaries of the Agricultural Product Marketing Committee said.
At the request of the traders, the trading hours are also changed from 10 am to 5 pm.
The retail business is fully banned
The entry of Two-wheelers and autorickshaws is prohibited.
Retailer sellers must show ther identity card and only then one will be allowed.
Action will be taken against such persons who violate the rules under the Disaster Management Act 2005, Section 188 of the IPC and the Karnataka Infectious Diseases Act 2020, the secretary of the Agricultural Product Marketing Committee said in a statement.
