The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has unveiled its latest Customer Satisfaction Index, spotlighting Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj Airport as the nation’s leading airport with a flawless score of 5. Karnataka’s Belagavi Airport also shines, clinching the fourth position with a 4.97 out of 5 rating.
Belagavi Airport has ascended to fourth place in the AAI’s Customer Satisfaction Index for Round-II 2023 compared to its Round-I 2023 standing. A comprehensive evaluation, spanning 33 parameters, was conducted across all participating airports.
In this assessment, Belagavi Airport garnered an impressive score of 4.97, closely followed by Hubballi Airport with 4.95 points. Meanwhile, Bhopal Airport claimed the pinnacle with a perfect score of 5 in AAI’s Customer Satisfaction survey. Intriguingly, two other Karnataka airports, Mysuru and Kalaburagi, secured the 22nd and 29th spots, respectively.

AAI’s Customer Satisfaction Index meticulously analyzes 33 parameters to gauge customer contentment, with each airport rated on a scale of 1 to 5. Belagavi Airport’s performance was benchmarked against these criteria, encompassing aspects like ground transportation accessibility, parking provisions, availability of baggage carts, and check-in queue wait times. Additionally, the evaluation factored in the efficiency, courtesy, and helpfulness of check-in personnel, the thoroughness of security inspections, dining facilities’ value for money, waiting area comfort, and internet/Wi-Fi access.
Did the parking issues of overcharging or fleecing by the contractor make an impact? Else! Would have scored perfect 5.
