A massive protest was organized by the BJP on Wednesday to condemn the derogatory statement of the Congress KPCC working president Satish Jarkiholi about Hinduism. The protesters condemned the attitude of the Congressmen who have shown anti-Hindu policy.
Satish Jarkiholi’s controversial comment calling the term Hindu ‘dirty’ and of Persian origin. While Congress has distanced itself from the remark, Satish Jarkiholi refused to apologize.
Belagavi district (Rural) president Sanjay Patil asked how fair it is to call Hindu dirty’. “If Jarkiholi brings proof, I am ready for an open discussion.
“There’s nothing wrong in what I said. There are hundreds of records about how this Persian word (Hindu) came. This has been mentioned in Swamy Dayanand Saraswati’s book ‘Satyarth Prakash’, Dr. GS Patil’s book ‘Basava Bharatha’ and Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s ‘Kesari’ newspaper as well”, Satish Jarkiholi said in a statement.
