Career Counseling programme on May 19

Typically, it was customary for parents, or even the children, to choose the ‘correct’ career path — one that would balance both emotional and financial well-being.

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer R. Ramachandran will inaugurate a career counseling session for students who have passed Pre University course  second year, in Belagavi on May 19, Saturday at KLE’s RLS college on College road at 9.30 am. 

Resource person S B Doddamani from Karnataka Examination Authority that conducts the Common Entrance Test for medicine, engineering, agriculture and other professional course admissions, will speak about the CET counseling session.

D G Kulkarni from KLE MSS engineering college will speak on engineering as a career. Deeksha Dikshit, from JNMC will speak on medicine as a career. 

Retired KAS officer D B Badabade will speak about other career choices. All resource persons will participate in a question answer session. 

The Hindu – EDGE Career Counselling is back and the 15th edition will be held in 10 cities in Karnataka covering CET, COMEDK, NEET, General Education Expert (offbeat courses), engineering and medicine. The Hindu EDGE Career Counselling event sets a benchmark in educational and professional guidance. It acts as a platform to connect students and parents with the speakers and educational institutions.
