Karnatak Law society’s, Gogte Institute of technology, Belagavi signed a historic MOU with CII- Confederation of Indian Industry and BFC- Belgaum foundry cluster to usher a new step to bridge the gap between Industry & academics. This platform is also a march towards Nation building though skill development and employment generation. During the occasion VLMI – Visionay Laghu Udyog Mitra Mandal, Belgaum chapter was also launched at GIT. VLMI is the only chapter in the country after Pune; the forum has been constituted to follow the footsteps of Dr, APJ Abdul kalam.
The key highlight of the function was a lecture delivered by Prof. Shoji Shiba; Padmashree & Deming prize Awardee, TQM guru from TOKYO, Japan his value adding session threw light on the various teaching methodologies to be adopted by academic Institutes in a quest to make learning to be Unique and real time based. He mentioned that Education for students should aim to create future leaders and enable holistic learning. Prof. Shiba shared his working experiences with various IIMs aimed to teach leadership traits. He narrated instances with corporate companies like TATA motors, TAFE etc intended to execute village development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) exercises. His session provided crucial inputs and worthy guidance to be embraced to gain competitive edge.
Prof. Sairatnam, President & Dean Anand University, Gujarat, & resource person of CII also spoke on the occasion to convey the message that mindset change in a positive way triggers a new journey; Behavior has the potential to change the attitude and creates the road of success. He shared many technical insights and anecdotes from the spiritual world to reinforce the learning abilities of the audience.
