Belagavi District, known for its rich cultural heritage, is set to make history with the construction of its first multi-stadium in the rural areas, thanks to the persistent efforts of MLA and Minister Mrs. Lakshmi Hebbalkar. This groundbreaking project, initiated on behalf of the sports department, aims to provide comprehensive facilities for various sports including cricket, wrestling, swimming, kabaddi, and volleyball.
The inspection of the proposed site at Belgundi was held by MLC Channaraj Hattiholi, marking a significant step towards the realization of this ambitious project. The new stadium promises to be a state-of-the-art facility, catering to the needs of athletes and sports enthusiasts across the district.
“We will soon finalize the location of this stadium and commence construction,” announced MLC Channaraj Hattiholi.
