BELGAUM: Today commuters for the first time experienced what traffic jams are all about on Congress road. For the first time commuters in Belgaum took about 1 hour to pass through the traffic a few took 30 mins but all said that the traffic was really unprecedented and unmanaged.
The main cause for the traffic jam was the road re-carpeting by the Corporation and also some patch work by the Cantonment both working on the same side of the road.

There is always a lot of traffic jam on congress road esp. when the railway gates re-open. So my question is, how do we inform a traffic police to control the traffic in that area, when usually a traffic police is not present in there?
