The foundation stone for the Construction of Road Over Bridge THIRD Gate was done on 6th Jan by Suresh Angadi, MP. This is known as Level crossing No.381 (Third Gate).
It has been a month now but nothing has actually moved there on the ground and no work has commenced as yet.
It was all in a hurry that the foundation stone was laid but on the ground not even a stone has moved for reasons not known.
First, it was thought that the police will work out an alternative traffic plan and after that, the work would commence.
We at this moment actually don’t know as to why work hasn’t commenced even after 30 days.
On January 6, 2019, and the press note issued mentions completion date as March 2020.

Span of RoB: 1 x 2 x 54 Bowstring Girder
Approaches: Panaji Side: (5+6) x 18 m PSC (250 m)
Belagavi Side: (7+6) x 18 m PSC (331 m)

The RoB is sanctioned at a cost of Rs.27.28 Crore on a 50:50 cost-sharing basis between ministry if Railways and Govt of Karnataka.
Now that the project has been delayed at the beginning alone, it would be difficult to say whether it will complete on time.
Now is this delay caused after the new traffic management flyover concept VDO was shared by Mohsin Tahsildar.
