B S Yeddyurappa, leader of opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly has stated that the State wide Bandh on May 28 is not sponsored by his party but only supported against CM H D Kumaraswamy’s failure to announce farmers loan waiver within 24 hours of coming to power as promised by him during the election campaign.

There will be a bandh and agitations across the State, except in Bengaluru as polling in R.R. Nagar Assembly segment will be held on Monday and the bandh would be observed between 8 am and 6 pm.

The bandh would be a state wide one. It would commence at 8 am tomorrow and would go on till evening. All establishments have been asked to down shutters tomorrow in wake of the bandh call given by the BJP.
Yeddyurappa appealed to all merchants and businessmen to down shutters and extend their support to the Bandh as the farmers were suffering.

  1. It is poll promise on which JD(S) got farmers vote.It is easy to promise but difficult to keep .Bandh , therefore, is justifiable.

  2. Loan waiver – why only for Karnataka. It should be for all india and if it cannot be implemented for all of India then just as CM is expected to , so should PM resign. Enough of this brainwashing from hypocritical divisive people.
