The Karnataka High Court reserves judgment on an appeal filed by the Karnataka government against a single-judge verdict setting aside notifications enabling the conduct of #BoardExams by KSEAB for students of classes 5, 8, 9 and 11.

The court says additional written submissions should be submitted forthwith. Dhananjay seeks clarification on how much time is being given and seeks additional days.

Currently, the Exams have been postponed after 2 were held on March 11 & 12 after the SC intervention.

  1. It is ridiculous that including HC bench & state government are playing with young children academic career. In the first instance, this case shouldn’t have been taken up due to eleventh hour. HC should have flatly refused and allowed the board examns. Now will the state government declare all the 8th and 9th standard students PASS? Because it was their half baked decision to introduce Board Examns.

  2. It is utter stupidity. Next week class 10 exams are starting, most of the school teachers will be busy with invigilation of those exams. Other staff and students will not be allowed in the premise during exams. Whatever is the verdict, when they conduct board exams or schools conduct their own exams? Most of the students are already in vacation mode. Worst decision by the government and courts are behaving even more hopelessly.

  3. Students are now more stressed because we have to go to school again and if it is re-examination we have to learn everything from first even that’s okay but no answer is coming from the governments side next year it’s 10th for us again we have to start reading but it seems like we won’t be having time for even taking rest…. I request them atleast to say whether it’s board or not so we can start preparing

  6. The HC and Govt are playing with 5th, 8th and 9th students. This was not the time to decide which type of exam to be conducted. The children are in holiday mood neither they are able to study nor able to go for vacation. Thus is stupidity, senseless, merciless. Now let them declare all students passed without conducting exams. Hope such wrong hearings not to happen at the edge of the exams in coming years, which is breaking their carareer.

  7. Its purely waste in conducting these board exams.what fear do they have about board exam
The government has informed that no one should be failed in the exams. Then what is the use of saying and conducting the exams.

  10. Utter shit by government and the high court. This is not the case of any business… it’s the career and academics of students.., one bad or delayed decision will spoil the entire career of students. Does government really have educated people in the education ministry who can think and act reasonably. Is this the game being played by government…

  11. Take firm decision on the board exam as all the benches are educated legitimately, make a fast verdict either to conduct the exam by the board or by the school itself. All the children’s are in the mood of vacation holidays lost interest in studying. what preparation made by them has gone waste waiting anxiously about the verdict of law holders. Either we are getting news nor prediction from the high level courts. We don’t know why they are holding it, atleast they would have continued the board exam till now, by this time might have finished all the exams & would have relaxed for forty days in vacations and for the preparation for next academic.
Please take immediate steps and move forward in perpetual manner.

  13. congress government could not make a firm decision about education.are they playing with children? its about their education. If you could not manage the board exams then why did you keep them ? Government has made the children to stand in the mid sea they can’t even reach the other end or even get back. Government is showing negligency in case of education.

  14. It’s really atrocious that the life of children are on stake. Decisions on such vital matters must be given utmost importance. By postponing the exams, children will loose interest in the exams. Board exams have lost its seriousness in the eyes of students of grade 5th ,8th and 9th.
