Belagavi Lok Sabha MP, Jagadish Shettar, today inspected the stalled construction of the second lane of the road over bridge near LC No: 381 (THIRD GatE) in Belagavi. Accompanied by the Engineers from the Railway Department and the Public Works Department (PWD), Shettar discussed the reasons behind the suspension of work and urged the officials to resume construction without delay. He emphasized the importance of addressing existing shortcomings to ensure the public’s safety and ease vehicular movement. Additionally, the MP directed the immediate repair of potholes on the already operational first lane.
He instructed engineers from the Railway Department and the Municipal Corporation to take prompt action and initiate work to start Rob on first and second gates.
Shettar further stressed the importance of community input for the upcoming road over bridge at LC No: 386 in Tanaji Galli. He committed to gathering residents’ opinions before moving forward with the construction to ensure the project meets public needs.
We badly need flyovers at First and Second railway gates ASAP, the traffic there gets terrible whenever the gate closes.
The present road on 3rd ROB is just impossible to drive on. The road is totally damaged with too many ditches, that too wide and deep ones, causes 6 due recent heavy rains. If not a new road, at least the repairs must be done to that road so that, the accidents could be avoided. Concerned authorities may please look into the matter and take up the repair works on priority basis.
