Omkar Tarale is a student who is pursuing engineering from KLE Engineering College Belgaum. He observed that people in villages face a lot of problems with electricity. This lead him to LEAD program & he started a project called ‘Solar Lamp’.
A simple solar lamp can change the lives of the people to whom Omkar distributed. He is very determined to do the project on a larger scale with different sets of prototypes/ designs which would be cost effective & benefit the lower middle class families.
