In a potentially disastrous incident, a boat carrying the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team capsized in the Krishna River near Kudachi Bridge. The boat was carrying linemen to repair a jack well.
As the boat overturned, a local lineman and a waterman, also onboard, managed to save themselves by clinging to a tree on the riverbank. The quick response of a second NDRF boat ensured that all six people on the capsized vessel were safely rescued.
The incident occurred amidst a significant influx of water into the Krishna River, which has now reached the banks, causing concern for the local community. Hescom has been called to repair the Jack well near the bridge. Fortunately, thanks to the swift actions of the NDRF, a major disaster was averted.
