B. Ramanath Rai, Minister for Forests, Environment and Ecology said a new elephant corridor from Nagarahole to Belgaum would be built as the existing one was not effective in limiting elephants to their territory. The minister further added that the interests of the people living around it would be considered and would be on first priority.
