Commissioner of Police under section 115 of the motor vehicle act 1988, has issued an order to ban the entry of Good transport vehicles which weigh more than 3 tons into the Belagavi city limits from October 28.
As the traffic has increased it has been decided to ban the entry of vehicles which use the NH4A will now not be allowed entry into the city limits from October 28 from 9 AM to 12 PM and 4 PM to 8 PM.
With no ring road, all the heavy vehicles are forced to travel within the city limits and this has caused more traffic issues.
How ever the order does not mention as to where the HTV will be stopped and where they will be parked for that span of time when entry is blocked into the city limits.
Such ban orders were issued by the District administration as well but will very little effect, how much impact and effect this will have, only time can tell.
