A gang of five, including a minor boy and two women, who are accused to be part of a honey trap gang have been arrested by the Malmaruti Police.
Police arrested Alishan Shahabuddin Syed of Kakar Street Camp, Akhil Allabakhsh Bapari of Kakar Street Camp, Salman Gulaz Beg of Camp, Mrs BB Ayesha Abdul Sattar Sheikh of Mahantes Nagar, Heena A Savanur of Rukmini Nagar have been arrested.
A cloth merchant of VeerBhadra Nagar had been to SBI Mahantesh Nagar branch, where two women told him that the money they had to give him is kept in their house and he can come with them and collect the same.
Already 4 persons were waiting in the house and the trap was laid. They forced him to disrobe and took away the 16500 cash with him and shot a video and asked for a ransom of 5 lakhs otherwise the women threatened to file a case of Rape.
The cloth merchant said he will give the money and somehow managed to convince them and escaped from there and went to the Mal Maruti Police station.
Br Gaddekar of Mal Maruti Police station informed ACP Barmani who with their team arrested the accused.
This is second case of a similar nature busted by the police in a weeks time.
