RTI activist Bhimappa Gadad had sought information of the expenses incurred at the assembly session held at Belagavi from December 9 to 20, 2014 and according to him the total expenditure is 10 crore 9 lakhs.
In 2013, for the 10 day session Rs.14.40 crores were spent.
In the 10 days of the session, the Legislative assembly did business for 50 hours and 49 minutes whereas the Legislative Council sat for 38 hours and 3 minutes.
MLA/MLC Travel and sitting fees – 1 crore 16 lakhs
Employees from Bengaluru allowance – 89 lakhs 94 thousand
Ministers allowance – 7 lakhs 35 thousand
SVS cleaning of dome – 7 Lakhs
Pandal for protesters – 70 lakhs
Civil works – 62 lakhs
Lunch -ministers/Senior officers – 40 lakhs
Miscellaneous expenses – 12 lakhs
Mineral water – 7 lakhs
Hi tea – 2.5 lakhs
Temporary toilets – 4 lakhs
Vehicle hire – 78 lakhs
Lodging/Boarding senior officials – 2 crore 70 lakhs
