A 1008 Parshwanatha Swamy Idol was discovered near Kalmeshwar temple at Hindlaga this afternoon. A telecom company was digging the road side to lay its cable when it found this idol when they were digging.
The idol looks very ancient made in a single stone and is 3.5 feet tall.
The idol has been handed over to the District authorities who in turn will hand it over to the Archaeological survey of India. The Jain community has demanded that the idol be handed over to them and they would make the plea to the DC tomorrow.
