The shop owners from Peeranwadi Cross had closed their shops yesterday as a part of a protest against the widening of the road to 140 feet.
They met the PWD and asked them to reduce the width to 70-80 feet. But the officials said we could think on humanitarian grounds of reduction up to 110 feet only and nothing less than that
This stretch is planned to be widened to 140 feet
Road widening is a Must for ease of traffic-flow which is ever increasing these days in any developing city(s) and avoid congestion. From the video shown herein the entire length of this town. the internal road definitely needs to be widened to a width( humanitarian consideration by the authorities) of 110 feet, thereafter the external road appears to have sufficient space on its sides to enable widening of road to the desired width. Let wiser counsels prevail in this matter……….
