Star Air Boosts Belagavi’s Air Connectivity with New Routes to Hyderabad and Bengaluru, Aircraft Upgrade for Mumbai

In a major push to improve regional air travel, Star Air is all set to enhance its operations from Belagavi with the launch of two new flight routes and a capacity upgrade on an existing one starting May 2025. These changes promise better accessibility and more convenience for travelers flying in and out of the city.

Belagavi–Hyderabad Flights Begin May 20

Star Air will kick off a new air link between Belagavi and Hyderabad starting May 20, 2025. The service will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

  • Flight S5119 will depart Belagavi at 8:00 AM, landing in Hyderabad at 9:05 AM.
  • The return leg, Flight S5120, will take off from Hyderabad at 4:35 PM and arrive back in Belagavi by 5:40 PM.

With introductory fares starting at ₹3,099, this route will be serviced by the 50-seater Embraer ERJ 145 jet, known for its comfort and speed on regional routes.

New Bengaluru–Belagavi Flights From May 1

Starting May 1, 2025, Star Air will also introduce a new thrice-weekly service connecting Bengaluru and Belagavi.

  • Flight S5105 will fly out of Bengaluru at 2:00 PM and land in Belagavi at 3:10 PM every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.
  • The return flight, S5106, will depart Belagavi at 9:00 PM and reach Bengaluru by 10:10 PM.

This route will also utilize the ERJ 145, ensuring quick and reliable travel between the two cities.

Mumbai Route Gets a Bigger Aircraft

In response to growing passenger demand, Star Air is upgrading its daily Belagavi–Mumbai route from May 15, 2025, by replacing the ERJ 145 with the larger Embraer ERJ 175, a 76-seater jet that offers more seats and better in-flight amenities.

  • Flight S5111 will leave Belagavi at 7:40 AM, arriving in Mumbai at 8:50 AM.
  • The return, Flight S5112, departs Mumbai at 4:50 PM, reaching Belagavi by 6:00 PM.

These developments mark a significant step forward in strengthening Belagavi’s position as a regional aviation hub, making air travel faster, more frequent, and more comfortable for passengers in North Karnataka and beyond.
