A 2-year-old boy was attacked by a stray dog in Pant Balekundri area on Wednesday but he succumbed to his injuries in hospital today.
A stray dog attacked Abbas Ali who was playing near his house in which he received serious injuries on his neck and head.
Incidents of stray dogs mauling people are becoming a very serious issue and need to be debated and solved in a humane way. Unfortunately, the boy succumbed to his injuries.
Previouly I have made comments multiple times about stray dogs as to how dangerous they are for human beings, in fact last week I left my thoughts on editorial reply page, but I am not sure if anyone pays any attention to the suggestions or concerns!
I think some how we need to find a way for co-existence with animals as the world just does not belong only to human race. Perhaps, humans also need to learn to give ethical treatment to animals.
I have myself seen people troubling and torturing dogs and other animals which leads them go unwell psychologically. Is such behavior acceptable then?. Never to forget “What goes around, comes around”.
However, a innocent child shouldn’t also die. RIP champ.
