Three persons were killed on the spot and two others have been critically injured after an accident near near Akrali village in Khanapur taluk on Wednesday morning.
Accident occurred after the van in which they were traveling rammed a Kadamba bus approaching from their opposite direction.
Prakash Shashi Desai (26), Shanur Ismia Umarkhazil (23) and Keshav Nagaraj Puttaswamy (26), all residents of Ramnagar in Joida taluk were traveling to Goa for work after their holiday.
A case has been registered at Khanapur police station.
There is heavy & uncontrolled traffic on this road . This road should be widened and a divider with road lights is essential.
