Truck driver burnt alive as cabin catches fire after a collision at Gogte Circle

In the wee hours of Wednesday at Gogte circle, two trucks had a collision in which the truck at the rear caught fire in which the Driver was brunt alive, according to the police. 

Both the trucks were coming from Goa and when at Gogte Circle, the first truck suddenly braked and the truck following it collided and the cabin caught fire in which the driver died. The truck was registered in Nagaland and the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

After the collision due to a short circuit, the cabin caught fire and the driver could not come out and was burnt alive.

  1. Now that the ROB has become operational, the traffic signal(lights) too need to start functioning before some untoward incident occurs. Don’t the authorities plan properly? The police constables on duty at the circle are literally bystanders, from what I saw on the first two days of the new year… Smart City needs smart planning which is sadly inconspicuous…..
