Two mobile towers in Camp soon

The Cantonment Board in its general body meeting decided to hand over the work of erecting two static cell (mobile) towers at Parade Road and Bewoor Road within Cantonment Board limits to the highest bidder which is ATC Telecom Infrastructure Private Limited.

The network connectivity in Camp area is very poor as there are no mobile towers, but with this decision, the residents can get good network coverage.

Brig Govind Kalwad, President, Cantonment Board, Belagavi presided over the meeting in which it was decided that the daily hawkers fees will be increased in the following manner- Vegetable vendors/ squatters will be Rs 10 per day, Sale of Tea and biscuits/ Fruits/ Tender coconuts will be Rs 30 per day, whereas sale (temporary) of pav bhaji/ Bhelpuri/ Ice cream/ Fast food/ Bakery products and more will be Rs 50 per day.

It was also decided to construct first and second floor of its shopping complex which is just besides the Cantonment Board office. The meeting discussed about the 15 shops located in shopping complex owned by Cantonment Board at Old Pune – Bengaluru Road, which is proposed to be developed under Smart City project. The lease period of the shops have already expired, informed the meeting. The members discussed on finalizing the period for back again leasing out the shops.

Two Static Mobile Towers To come up in Camp Areas– Good news not only for the local users but for also for Out- (of Belagavi) Station Mobile- users who have difficulty at present in connecting with local camp Belgaumites(Belagavis). With the Military administration in charge of the developments of Camp areas, one hopes these Mobile Towers will be erected and made functional A.E.A.P. Jai-Hind….
