The people of this town are well known for and are providing helping hands to the needy, time and again, as and when requested.
Still there are many poor students who are unable to continue education after school for want of funds. So also many patients who cannot afford the cost of medicine.
Keeping this in mind, Shantai Vridhashram has launched a Scheme – “VIDYA-NIDAN” – a new concept to help the poor and needy children and patients.
The Plan:
Collect old newspapers, magazines & books as donation towards this cause. Books will be segregated and distributed to the poor students based on the need. The amount realized by Sale of used newspapers and magazines will be contributed towards the cost of education of the poor student.
Collection of the unused medicines from donors, segregate them based on the expiry date and give it for use at free wards of Civil Hospital/KLE
10 collection centers have been made for this cause to collect these from different parts of the city. A separate account will be maintained to monitor and maintain the proceedings.
