Avinash Potdar to be ‘International Match Observer’ for Trivandrum T20 match against South Africa

Avinash Potdar the multi-dimensional and multi-faceted personality from Belagavi who has been promoting cricket in Belagavi has been selected as the ‘Match Observer‘ for the first T20 cricket match between India and South Africa to be held at Trivandrum.

The President of Belgaum Sports Club is the Dharwad Regional Coordinator of the Karnataka Cricket Association and Avinash Potdar of Belagavi has contributed a lot to encouraging the cricketers of the Belagavi and Dharwad divisions.

Similarly, Potdar has played a prima role in building an international standard cricket stadium of KSCA at Auto Nagar Belagavi.

He is actively involved in various activities of the Karnataka Cricket Association. In recognition of his varied work, the BCCI has appointed Avinash Potdar as the observer for the first T20 match between India and South Africa on September 28 at Trivandrum.

Avinash Potdar said that this selection has been made for the India vs South Africa match to be held on September 28 in Trivandrum and it is important to carry out the assigned responsibility properly.

Potdar further said there is a plan to install floodlights by next year here with a budget of around 5 crores. A gallery will also be constructed soon at the Auto Nagar Stadium. He said that BCCI has registered the name of Belagavi ground for excellent facilities.

Avinash Potdar said the Auto Nagar ground has an excellent outfield with an 83-yard boundary line and other facilities.

Potdar further added that international-level matches can be held in Belagavi as well when all the necessary infrastructure is put in place such as flood lights, public gallery broadcasting rooms, and five-star hotels in the city. Mainly, if the number of flights increases and five-star hotels is available, it is definitely possible to organize international matches in the future.
