Mayura Shivalkar from Belagavi completes the 70.3 Ironman Colombo. The Half Ironman, 70.3 (miles) which saw a huge participation from Indians at Colombo, SriLanka today had one from our own town.
Mayura Shivalkar who completed the event in a time of 7 hrs 25 mins against a closing cut off time of 8.30 hours managed to take the challenge successfully and stood at 8th position in her age category.
The event Half Ironman includes 1.9 kms of sea swim followed by 90 kms of cycling and 21 kms of run is a tough challenge.
Mayura trained herself in the past few months for the same and has made us all proud. Keep up the good job and keep inspiring the people around Mayura !
