As many as four persons were killed on the spot and 33 others injured in an accident after the tractor in which they were travelling overturned near Murgundi village in Athani taluk on Friday. All were residents of Rabakavi village in Jamkhandi taluk of Bagalkot district.
The accident occurred while they were going to attend a marriage in Athani and while returning the the mishap occurred when the driver tried to overtake a bus and lost control.
The deceased have been identified as Danappa Mahadev Talvar (9), Priyanka Ravi Halannavar (3), Kalavva Sadashiv Talavar (65) and Basavaraj Suresh Nandeshwar (7).
