Under this category we will try and get answers from different contesting candidates as to their view for Belgaum and what they intend to do if elected. Here is another one –

Abhay Patil – BJP – Belgaum Southabhaypatil

Why should the electorate vote for your party?

Abhay Patil ———-> All round development of the Belgaum city and the state.

Is there anything specific that you will contribute to the city of Belgaum, if or elected?Abhay Patil ———-> Yes, I have well thought and well designed development document prepared by the suggestions of the citizens of Belgaum i.e. vision 2040. In my opinion only black tar roads is not development. That’s the basic necessity and that’s why it was a priority in this tenure. I believe in the overall development of my constituency viz, social, infra, industrial and in turn the economic upliftment. I have a full proof development plan designed for and desired by the intellectual citizens of Belgaum south. My only agenda is development, development and all round development.

What has been your greatest contribution to Belgaum till date?

Abhay Patil ———-> The contributions to my constituency is a big list. I want to name few and I want you to take a survey on my each contribution. These are my initiatives. It’s the support of the citizens who cooperated and you could see the results. I am a representative but with a vision.

1)Tanks developments ,Anagol ,June Belgaum, and Yallur .

2)Anagol road, Mahatma Phule road, State of art Vajapeyee road, RPD road and all internal roads with gutter to gutter.

3)The smart boards in the govt schools and development of schools at par with the pvt school.

4) Indo-German skill development project at Udymbag worth 42 crore to train the youth and promote the skills

5) 100 bedded govt hospital at Vadagaon

6)IT park which is supported unanimously by the entire assembly

7) Implementation of govt programmes to the needy citizens and more

I am also keen on making my city to get the global recognition. I am trying hard to promote tourism with my International Kite Festival, which is now a popular one across the globe.
My initiations to bring IIT, LOT OF INDUSTRIES, WILL materialize very soon.
My other programmes like holi Milan which bought every one together, drawing and the little champ singing competitions to bring out the talents and to recognize them.
Ek sham shahidonke naam, to salute our soldiers and to promote patriotism in youth ,,,and many more have given me the satisfaction.

This region has been relatively ignored as compared to south Karnataka, how will you change the trend?

Abhay Patil ———-> That change has already begun .Now north Karnataka is more focused. All of us must work together to promote our city and I will act like a catalyst. Lets dream big,,,,we will change the trend.

What qualities in you make you a special candidate?

Abhay Patil ———-> I am a …special candidate. I am sure I am the only amongst others who know the entire constituency much better. My physical presence and my involvement in my work in every nook and corner of my constituency during the development has made me special.

According to you are there some factors which would go against you?

Abhay Patil ———-> I do not find anything of that sort. That’s only few ……..people feel.

Would you like to commit something to the electorate?

Abhay Patil ———-> The good industrial growth of IT and non-IT sectors. 24/7 water. Global investor meet. Upbringing of the city with the help of all the organizations and district administration and solid waste management.

What are your plans for the young ages which are migrating to other cities like Bangalore, Pune etc?
Abhay Patil ———-> The industrial growth I am planning will not only make our younger generation stop migrating and also I expect a good population from outside too. The education tourism because of the entry of top education institutes will enhance the opportunity of employment at Belgaum.

What are your plans for protection of environment? Green Belgaum, No plastic zone or Rain Water harvesting etc.

Abhay Patil ———-> Green Belgaum, No plastic zone or Rain Water harvesting etc.

Proper solid waste management is my next priority. My tree plantation program of plantation of 50,000 trees ,tanks development, a new concept of paver roads to improve water harvesting are my few initiatives. The garden developments will add greenery. My vision 2040 has all this solution.

What are your plans for beautification of Belgaum marketing of Belgaum to attract tourist, to increase local business etc?

Abhay Patil ———-> As I have referred above my priority area of work is to improve tourism. I got the success too. My IKF (international kite festival)has added huge number of tourists to Belgaum and now these foreign tourists make it a point to attend our IKF. Tourism directly and indirectly helps in the trade and market of Belgaum. This has added the business too.
My dream project Shiva Charitra ,beautiful developed gardens will definitely attract every one. I think i have done a little but it was public support through which I have achieved this.

What are your thoughts on making the Meters compulsory for Autos?

Abhay Patil ———-> Roads were the main reason ,,but now we are ready now I am sure the auto owners only will come on their own for this cause. We have to understand the problems then only we can solve… Only writing big,,,, with no will for development will never work.

How much funds did you receive under MLA area development fund in last five years?Abhay Patil ———-> 4.95 Crores under MLA area development funds and special efforts of bringing 200 crores for the city of Belgaum. The majority of which is spent in Belgaum south.

How have you utilized the MLA area development fund (give list of names with ongoing/completed)
Abhay Patil ———->
I will give the list very soon

Why should people vote for you once again?
Abhay Patil ———-> I understand the needs of the Belgaum south constituency much better than any other candidate. My vision is the all round development of the city. I am sure this time we will have a Global investor meet and also try to promote our non IT specialized industrial sector by bringing the big industries to Belgaum. We have to dream big and achieve big.

    • Is there any other eligible candidate in belgaum now?

it will be worst condition in future, I am afraid of “angutha Chap”. they will take belgaum towards the hell,

no one will save belgaum, It will become a second kasmir, and Ladhak which are always in trouble. forget abt development and employment.

we require some one like Barack Obama,

      • Ya Goutam,
Untill we will have some educated candidate we cant hope for any developments. because these ANGUTHA CHAP will think basic needs like water supply, road as development.
they dont know what is development and progress.

  2. Awesome sirji, Developments developments and developments, Belgaum needs people like you, kudo’s to you! there is nothing more important than developments!

  3. The list looks very good. Mr Abhay Patil, could you please explain how you will fund all these programs? do you have a cash flow anlaysis? if you do have, could you please make it public.

    Thanks

    Jay

  4. DEAR candidate,
WILL U PUT MORE INFO ON THIS CONCEPT. “a new concept of paver roads to improve water harvesting”.

  5. Dear Sir, Hearty congratulations and best wishes.
I belong to a farmer family of your constituency.”Patil” The name itself has the Royalty, reputation and trust. entire south part is witness for tht. we glad to have a representative like u.
Dear sir, most the Belgaum south part is consist of farmers and they don’t have other option to live. It remains backward because of Bellary Nala and Lendy Nala. Its one of the major problem in south belgaum. If you do something for these two nalas people will not forget you forever. the entire area will be developed if there is proper and permanent water drain system for bellary nala.
It requires strong concrete (walls)borders and proper depth to drain the water.
the second problem is Old Dharwad Raod. This road is exit and entry for belgaum city. This road is one of the main and oldest road. Because of this road belgaum is well known. Today this road is loosing its history and share of belgaum’s development, other roads are becoming 120 feet but this road, which was nation’s High-Way becoming 66 ft. why ??? I feel uncomfortable if visitors speak some nonsense abt belgaum city because of this road(yes the entire area is like a slum and dirty) if passers pass through this way they imagine the city’s quality.
    so i request you
whatever plan is for Khanapur road plz apply for old dharwad road also.
3rd major problem is, Power loom industry is in worst condition. plz help them.
apart from this we eagerly waiting for IT and Non-IT industry for better employment.
I request you to please help the region like vodagoan, Khasbag, Shahapur, Old belgaum, Angol, etc. this is very old part of the city n repeatedly neglected by City’s Administration. Being a second Capital here People are very poor and uneducated like a village.
can you commit some good things for them?
They have only one drawback, they are uneducated and very emotional. plz save them. they are very good at heart but only frustrated because of poverty.
    plz plz
    thanking you.
