Around 450 Nath Panthi Navnath Jhundi Sadhus arrived in Belagavi from Nasik after participating into Simhastha Kumbha Mela and are headed towards Mangaluru on foot.
The padayatra commenced soon after the Kumbh Mela at Nasik and Triambakeshwar earlier this year. It will culminate at Kadali Mutt in Mangaluru in a few weeks. On arrival after walking a distance of about 1,200 km, the 450-odd sadhus were accorded a warm reception, with ceremonial pujas, by members of the Bhavsar Kshatriya Panch Mandal and Bhavsar community.
The sadhus will camp at the Maruti Mandir in the Camp Area here till Thursday. From here the sadhus will proceeds to Handi Badaganath temple in Khanapur taluk where they will stay for around 6-7 days.
