In a very strange incident that occurred last night a fruit seller was crushed to death allegedly by a stray animal/cow near Nargundkar Bhave chowk.
A fruit seller from Raibag who used to come to the market each day to sell fruits slept there only after his work, in the night a stray cow seems to have crushed his head. CCTV footage which is unclear does throw some light on this where one can see the cow coming towards the place the man was sleeping.
Police say Prima facie looks like the cow stepped on the man’s head and he died due to heavy bleeding.
The security guard nearby informed the police. The police are investigating the matter.
