Abhijeet Uchukar of student of Jain College of Engineering, Belgaum won the gold medal in 66kg category at the VTU Inter-Collegiate Wrestling Competition held at V.D.R.I.T College, Haliyal from 17th to 19th October 2014. Abhijeet is studying in (V Sem Mechanical Engineering).
Abhijeet was awarded with University Blue Status for this performance and he will be representing VTU, Belgaum in the All India Inter-University Wrestling Competition to be held at Kuruksheter (Hariyana) from 15th January 2015.
