The tenth standard student of Divine Providence English Medium School, Vishakha M. Hegde who is a Bharatanatyam dancer, won the State-level Kala Pratibhotsava Bharatanatyam competition in the ‘Kishore Pratibha’ category for 2013. The Kannada and Culture Department had organised the event recently in Bangalore. She had also won the ‘Kalashree’ award for child artistes and has been selected for a scholarship instituted by the Centre for Cultural Resource and Training, New Delhi.
