On 8th March,2013 National Highway Authority of India have issued a public notices under the provision of Sub Sec(1) (2) (3) & (4) of Sec-3G of National Highways Act for acquisition of the land on Km 433 to 515,(Dharwad-Belgaum Section), on the said stretch KIADB Board Honga Indl Est is situated which comprised of many industrial units.
The Industries in and around Belgaum stood second as for as revenue to the Government of Karnataka is concern. At present industry is suffering through a very bad rescission and if the government acquired the land in the said industrial estate it will lead to hardship to industrial fraternity.
On behalf of The Belgaum Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Belgaum, DC was requested to kindly take up this issue to the appropriate Higher authorities for the relief.
Deputy Commissioner,Shri N.Jayaram, said that he will do his level best and asked the NHAI authorities to have a interaction with the Chamber. He further said that his role is limited & it is to the extent of helping the industrialists to get the maximum compensation for acquisition He assured for maximum compensation.
