Covid-negative reports mandatory for travellers from Kerala, Maharashtra Says Minister

Dr Sudhakar K, Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Medical Education, GoK in a presser today said that the Govt is thinking seriously that citizens entering Karnataka from Maharashtra and Kerala should bring RT-PCR negative report as the number of cases in the two states are on the rise.

Date from which this will be mandatory is not yet announced.

A detailed SoP is yet to be made and this is just a suggestion as of now and would be implemented after meeting the Police and Revenue departments.

RT-PCR negative test report would be mandatory for travellers from Kerala and Maharashtra entering Karnataka. The report should not be older than 72 hours.

He hinted that the state government was contemplating similar rules for flyers from these states.

Vilgil will have to be kept at the border districts like Chamarajnagar, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Udupi, Uttara Kannada and Belagavi which share boundaries with Kerala and Maharashtra.
